A specific body is at our disposal and this is where we depart from. Juli Apponens body has undergone a heavy transformation through several surgeries and numerous severe complications. We are not artificially creating exhaustion on stage, we already begin with a body in a state of tiredness. The physical memory and experience of this archive creates a source of material. A naked body is exhibited on a white floor in the dimensions of a sheet of paper on an empty black stage. With slow movements the body declares its space and tempo. Quietly insisting the audience is invited into the history of a body, a person and a human experience.
